Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Solutions Engineer to drive revenue growth by designing and delivering data-driven solutions that address complex business challenges. This role requires expertise in supporting the pre-sales process for DaaS solutions, geospatial data products, or enterprise data platforms. You will collaborate closely with prospects, customers, and internal teams — including Sales, Product, and Engineering — to demonstrate technical capabilities and craft solutions that align with customer needs and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with Account Executives, Product Management, and Engineering throughout the sales cycle.
    • Lead technical and value-based discovery to assess client data needs; communicate technical capabilities and articulate the business impact of dataplor’s location intelligence and big data analytics solutions.
    • Think creatively, act resourcefully, and move quickly in designing and delivering cloud data platform solutions for prospects.
    • Build conceptual and technical frameworks that show how dataplor’s data architecture solves unique customer challenges.
    • Deliver presentations and live demonstrations that resonate across audiences — from data scientists and engineers to business decision-makers.
    • Identify opportunities to extend use cases beyond initial project scopes through technical discovery and business impact analysis.
    • Contribute to internal solution playbooks, technical collateral, and reusable demo environments.
    • Apply knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), geospatial data analysis, and data quality efforts to influence technical evaluations and bring them to closure.
    • Maintain a deep understanding of Points of Interest (POI), mobility data, and location-based intelligence.

Required Qualifications

    • 2+ years in a pre-sales, sales engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting role, ideally in a data or SaaS company.
    • Comfortable guiding prospects through best practices in data ingestion, transformation, enrichment, and visualization.
    • Strong programming skills in Python.
    • Advanced SQL experience, including querying large datasets and performing spatial analytics.
    • Excellent communication and storytelling skills — able to align technical solutions with business value and drive deal momentum.
    • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and manage multiple technical sales engagements simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Extensive experience working with location data, point of interest data, or mobility data
    • Experience with geospatial analysis in SQL, Python, and GIS
    • Data mastering, deduplication logic, or entity resolution workflows.

Benefits

    • Competitive salary and benefits package
    • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
    • Unlimited PTO and paid holidays
    • Monthly Uber Eats Credit
    • Industrious or similar co-working membership
    • Semi annual team retreats and ad hoc meetups
    • A collaborative and supportive work environment
