Dathena is a Singaporean and Swiss-based company which focuses on developing data governance software, helping organizations to automatically identify PIIs, promoting GDPR compliance, classify data, detect security anomalies, and protect sensitive information with the help of AI (NLP, ML, Deep Learning).Digital business requires a new view on security and privacy, one that is driven by the level of risk appetite and enablement of business and technology strategy. 

We are looking for a People Champion to manage all people-related activities under the People and Culture department, reporting directly to the People and Culture Manager.

Your main duties will vary from creating a fantastic employee experience during on-boarding and off-boarding, maintaining administrative tasks, and assisting with recruitment and engagement activities. Your aim is to create and cultivate a dream working environment that will increase Dathena’s attractiveness for talent acquisition and retention

Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our people department enables our organisation effectively and efficiently.


    • Own the on-boarding and off-boarding cycles of all employees (interns and Full-timers), working closely with the IT department and team members
    • Organize and maintain personnel records and tracking documents (LTVP renewals, entry and exits etc)
    • Update internal databases
    • Prepare people documents, like employment contracts, employee communication letters and update new hire guide
    • Update company policies when required
    • Liaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, and ensure legal compliance
    • Create regular reports and presentations on people metrics (e.g. turnover rates)
    • Answer employees’ queries about people/ platform-related issues
    • Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. compensation, leaves of absence, sick days, and work schedules)
    • Execute tax-filing for local employees
    • Keep abreast of government grants being offered
    • Support the implementation of other people projects - planning, organizing, and hosting employee engagement activities, recruitment activities etc
    • Manage our Employee recognition platform, Bonusly (monthly metrics, analytics, ideas on how to improve collaboration on the platform etc)
    • Manage our Learning and Development platform (Udemy) - track monthly metrics
    • Take active part in our Culture Committee meetings
    • Constantly innovate and initiate new ideas for the betterment of company culture


    • Proven work experience in people operations (3-5 years of experience)
    • Experience assisting with payroll and tax-filing
    • Experience with HRIS (Sapling / BambooHR or any other HRIS)
    • Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)
    • Thorough knowledge of local labor laws
    • A self-starter with excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
    • Meticulous attention to detail
    • Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills
    • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to accurately follow instructions and processes
    • Ability to see the big picture and strategize, as opposed to being a pure executioner
    • Someone who is hungry, keen to work in a fast-paced tech start-up, live the company culture and values and wants to be a true expert in the field
