Quality and design excellence are top priorities, especially as we broaden our product offering. Our Design team is a dynamic ensemble of Product Design, Content, Systems and Operations. The Design Systems Designer is a key player in connecting the visual and interactive dots across our suite of products via shared libraries, components, color and typography. In short, this position oversees the necessary elements required to create intentional, accessible and scalable experiences.

What you'll do:

    • 75% Design Systems Designer, 25% Product Designer working across our Credit, Banking, Growth, and Internal Tooling products
    • Produce and maintain styles, components and patterns that enable your fellow product designers and front-end engineers to ship more effectively and efficiently
    • Build upon existing foundational component libraries and establish best practices for contribution and implementation
    • Review your peers’ design files and provide recommendations that adhere to design systems compliance
    • Communicate design concepts through high-fidelity designs and prototypes
    • Provide guidelines and documentation to educate designers and engineers on the application of the system. Drive adoption and promote systems advocacy
    • Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to drive influence and inclusion of the design system across our Product Development Lifecycle
    • Act as the design systems ambassador. Socialize design decisions to Product Design, Brand Design, Engineering and Product
    • Design with a platform-first approach, crafting high quality solutions that are accessible, scalable and member-centric
    • Spend time working across our core products as needed, to gain product knowledge, execute on impactful designs and incorporate our design systems holistically
    • Ideate and drive roadmap initiatives, in parallel with steering the maturation of the system. Self-starter who is motivated by all things systems related

What you'll need:

    • 6+ years Product Design experience in financial services or other relevant consumer product design domain
    • 2+ years Design Systems specific experience, knowledge of basic development practices
    • Practical experience shipping real products that solve real problems for real people
    • Experience building components within Figma, bonus points for design tokens.
    • A strong portfolio of product design and design systems work, including designs that showcase both an ability to think in scalable systems, and a solid understanding of key graphic design principles (hierarchy/layout, color, and typography)
    • Experience creating new visual directions, including color theory and typography
    • An ability and passion to think and design in scalable systems
    • Strong communication skills and ability to break down complex problems into easy to understand ways
    • A knack for explaining concepts to both peers and upper management

$138,000 - $222,000 a year
Dave has established a nationally applicable pay program that recognizes that regardless of where Daves choose to live, their time and effort is of equal value to the company. As such we utilize base salary ranges that are intended to be competitive in all markets and do not differentiate pay based on employee work location.
