We are looking for acontent delivery professional who will perform a key role at DAZN looking after the CDN (Content Delivery Networks) operation.

We are looking for someone with experience of working with Video Streaming Technologies and Content Delivery Networks.
You will have experience of working with the technical and operational aspects of delivering OTT video content. You will understand media content delivery technology (including encoders, origin servers, CDN and alternative delivery methods) and have a demonstrable track record in managing operations activities and event live monitoring.
Ideally in a broadcaster environment you will have experience of working with the operational &technical aspects of delivering OTT video content and an understanding of OTT content delivery systems (including CDN, ASN, ISP (Internet Service Provider), Routing, Security, Advertising).
You will be familiar with change management systems (Jira, Service Now) and operational tool such as Pager Duty.
Your team
You will be part of the Distribution Engineering team who are directly involved and responsible for DAZN content delivery. As part of the Streaming group who look after the entire playback chain from stadium to screen, the Distribution Engineering team leads the strategy, development, implementation, and management of content delivery systems.
This role is based in XXX. The internal job title is Distribution Operation Engineer.

As our new Distribution Operation Engineer, you will have the opportunity to:
- Supporting and working closely with Distribution Platform engineering to deliver CDN technology and performance requirements.
- Running validation test for CDNs on-boarding and CDNs configuration changes
- Ensuring procedures and systems are in place with respect to monitoring, SLA reporting, Incident escalation, Planned work management.
- Collaborating and co-ordination internally to achieve best practice.
- Evaluating KPIs and creating reports for internal stakeholders.
You will be set up for success if you have:
- Experience of working with CDN providers on a technical and operational basis
- Experience in working in a Multi CDN operation
- Experience of working with CDN policy management
- Experience and background of streaming technologies e.g. Mpeg Dash, HLS, low latency protocol and server-side ad insertion
- Experience with alarms, pager duty, Incident reporting
- Experience in CDN Log Analysis
- Experience with Telemetry tools such as Conviva, Mux etc
Even better if you have:
- Knowledge of Encoding and Packaging Systems
- Experience of OTT delivery technologies such as Multicast, Multicast ABR and peer to peer
- Experience with CDN security products
