The Playback Security team is a backend team that focuses on ensuring our customers are using DAZN fairly and not sharing their accounts. It strives to identify users abusing the terms and conditions and encourage them to use DAZN within their expected contractual agreement. To do this, we build backend services that monitor our customer’s usage and use heuristics, business rules and pattern recognition to provide a seamless user experience to customers following the fair usage policies and add friction to those customers exceeding the limits.
 
 
The way we work:
 
Delivery teams are typically made up of around 5-8 Engineers, an Engineering Manager and a Product Manager. Everyone in the team is treated as an equal, with ideas, perspectives and opinions welcomed from everyone. We value agile delivery practices and continue to evolve our processes to provide incremental value to our customers and business.  Due to the nature of live sporting events, our services need to perform efficiently at scale, and be designed to handle a large influx of customers in a short period of time adding a unique challenge to providing backend services.
 
 
As a new Engineering Manager within Streaming Engineering, you will Lead the Account Sharing backend team, helping to define their roadmap with the Product Team, track their deliveries, line manage the team members, represent the team in wider business discussions and provide technical guidance.
 
 
 
You’ll be set up for success if you have:
-       Worked in OTT or video streaming before.
-       Worked with highly scalable backend services.
-       Experience leading teams.
-       Experience as an engineer delivering complex software solutions.
-       Worked across location before (I.E. UK and India).
-       Knowledge of modern software delivery practices, you’ve worked on agile teams and reviewed other people’s code. You work collaboratively and communicate well.
 
 
 
It’s desirable, but not essential (we can teach you) if you:
-       Worked as a QA on any enterprise project.
-       Worked with AWS esrvices
