DealMaker is seeking an Ad Operations Specialist to join our team of innovators. You will be a crucial individual contributor, operating at the intersection of technology and marketing to ensure our advertising campaigns are launched with speed and precision, and that our data is flawless. This role is for a doer—someone who thrives on solving technical challenges and owns the "how" of our advertising operations.

What you will do
As an Ad Operations Specialist, you will operate independently to manage the technical execution of our advertising campaigns. Your primary focus will be on ensuring our advertising operations are efficient and our data is trustworthy.
- Own the Technical Setup: Take ownership of all technical configurations for campaign launches, including platform integrations (GA/GTM, domain/ESP setup), ad account architecture, and partner data connections. This includes independently requesting, implementing, and confirming pixels and tags from various vendors (IAS, Comscore, Nielsen, etc.) and ad platforms.
- Drive Data Integrity: Proactively troubleshoot trafficking, pixel, or campaign delivery issues. Pull and analyze reports to confirm tracking accuracy, ensuring our data is reliable.
- Innovate and Simplify Processes: Adhere to established processes while actively looking for ways to innovate and simplify our workflows. You will coordinate with vendors, publishers, and internal teams to ensure timely launches and contribute ideas for workflow and process improvements.
- Communicate and Collaborate: Participate in relevant meetings, maintain clear communication with stakeholders, and ensure timely responses. You'll also communicate with clients directly as needed to set up tracking or troubleshoot issues.
The most critical part of this role is: ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data and processes from campaign setup to launch, and acting as the technical owner for a smooth and fast go-live.

What skills you need
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of ad platforms and analytics tools such as Google Ad Manager, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager (GTM), and other DSPs or ESPs. Expertise in Excel and/or Google Sheets. Working knowledge of HTML/JavaScript and ad servers (CM360, Flashtalking, etc.) is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently, including diagnosing ad serving errors, pixel discrepancies, and data feed issues. A problem-solving mindset and a strong interest in ad tech for both digital and broadcast.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to translate technical details for non-technical audiences and deliver direct feedback. A strong communicator, responsive, and team-oriented.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in campaign setup, trafficking, and data management to ensure accuracy and prevent errors. Extremely detail-oriented and organized.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
The ideal candidate must have: hands-on experience with GTM and other ad platforms, a proven track record of troubleshooting technical issues independently, and a strong understanding of data flow and integrity.
