To support our fast growing sports ecosystem, we are looking for an outgoing, hardworking, and hands-on leader to drive operations at one of our stores. You will be the driving force in ensuring that our Sports users have an amazing experience, daily operations run without a hitch and guaranteeing the safety and security of our team, sports users and store. Reporting directly to our Operations Leader, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Your role

    • Co-lead the economic and human activity, piloting and guaranteeing the performance of your catchment store
    • Lead commercial projects in your store, offer the best in-store experience in terms of safety  and service for our sport users
    • Empower, develop, and manage the teams in-store through strong, consistent human projects·        
    • Perfect our sustainability strategies and actions for the planet. Contribute to the economic growth of Hong Kong Project and serve Decathlon’s purpose

Your Responsibilities

    • Team Management:
    • Hire, train, onboard and manage a team of 5 to 15 people in your store service team.
    • Work to empower, challenge and promote your teammates
    • Build and drive the monthly roster to guarantee the correct level of service on the floor while being wary of the efficiency and productivity of the operations
    • Ensure teammates receive strong development plans and are satisfied with their role.
    • Lead by example - build a customer-oriented, positive and proactive team
    • Structure, build and develop an autonomous team; highly capable, motivated and always ready for any situation

    • Operational Safety & Security:
    • Create, enforce and maintain operational procedures in-store to guarantee the safety of teammates, and our customers
    • Implement, enforce and maintain an audit and control planning system to keep the store at high standards in terms of safety and security all year long

    • Customer Experience and Service:
    • Consistently analyse and investigate customer experience within your store and beyond, deploying set metrics, targets and strategies to better understand and redefine our customer satisfaction
    • Track and report on your service quality key metrics
    • Identify levers of actions to make our service experience remarkable and consistent over time
    • Become the gate-keeper for service standards, positively challenging and reinforcing a high level of excellence for your store

    • Operational Efficiency:
    • Drive and control expenses, cleaning,maintenance, and miscellaneous planning
    • Create, enforce and maintain processes to manage the flow of goods and the flow of money in your store
    • Work closely with your peers to develop strong standards and policies across Hong Kong
    • Lead additional matters meant to drive the overall efficiency of our overall operations across Hong Kong

What you bring:

    • Passion for sports is a must
    • University degree holder is an advantage
    • Experience in operations or in sports retail will be an advantage, but not a must. 
    • Passion for developing talent, managing a team and relentless in wanting to better yourself, and your team
    • Energetic and quick on your feet, lead by doing - actively on a daily basis. you are a very hands-on person who willingly rolls up his/her sleeves to make things happen
    • Be a Data-driven decision maker, following sound logical reasoning, able to prioritise your actions with strong oversight, and to maximise your chances to succeed at any given project or task
    • A “Can do” attitude, with a general thirst to learn. You are a humble person who desires to grow and work beyond expectations.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
    • Strong time management skills, making the best use of your time, creating an efficient and responsible team, ultimately building a strong team able to function autonomously
    • Fluency in English & Cantonese, Mandarin is a plus
