We are thrilled to offer the Summer Retail Rookie Program - a 3-month immersive experience designed to cultivate future retail leaders and provide strong support to our stores. Limited spots available!
This programme is tailored specifically for Year 3 and Year 4 students who are passionate about sports retail and eager to fast-track their way into Decathlon's dynamic leadership pipeline. Upon successfully completing the Rookie Program, top performers will be selected to join our Decathlon Leadership Program - an accelerated path that can lead to a full-time role as a Sports Department Manager and future Store Leader. Embark on an exciting career jump-start!
Our program will run from June 1st to August 31st, 2025. As a Decathlon HK Summer Rookie, you'll be an integral part of our store teams, working 5 days a week on a full-time, fixed-rate package, including regular retail hours (evenings and weekends).

What to expect:
- As a Decathlon HK Summer Rookie, you'll dive headfirst into the dynamic world of sports retail. You can expect to:
- Enhance Customer Experience: Provide excellent service and expert sports advice to our customers.
- Support Store Operations: Assist with product merchandising, inventory management, and daily store routines.
- Contribute to Value-Adding Projects: Work on specific projects identified by store leadership to improve store performance and customer experience.
- Learn and Grow: Participate in training sessions focused on product knowledge and retail skills, guided by experienced Sports Department Managers & Mentors.
- Present Your Achievements: Towards the end of the program, you'll present your project and learnings to store leaders and mentors. Top projects will be nominated for a final presentation to Decathlon HK unified leaders, followed by a graduation celebration.

Your responsibilities:
- As a Decathlon HK Summer Rookie, you will:
- Actively support the daily operations of your assigned sports department.
- Provide excellent customer service and share your sports knowledge.
- Contribute to maintaining appealing product displays and organized stock levels.
- Work collaboratively with your mentor and team on assigned projects.
- Take initiative to learn about our products, services, and retail operations.
- Present your project and key learnings at the end of the internship.
What We Look For in a Decathlon HK Summer Rookie

- Potential to grow and develop within a retail environment.
- Currently enrolled in your 3rd or final year of a post-secondary degree program at a local HK university (any discipline).
- Good communication skills. Proficiency in English is required; Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage.
- Availability to commit full-time for the program duration (June 1st to August 31st, 5-day shift duties per week).
- Applicants must have the legal right to work or take up an internship in Hong Kong.
