Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Software Engineer to join our team and help build the most advanced platform for monitoring and removing personal data online. You will work closely with the VP of Engineering on our core monitoring and enforcement service — a system that issues hundreds of millions of requests each month using a blend of white hat, black hat, and AI techniques.
You’ll help architect and scale a platform that’s resilient, extensible, and fast. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in high-impact environments and have deep experience across backend systems, web development, and distributed systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver features using design by contract to ensure quality and system consistency.v
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality, resilient systems using Python.
- Design and implement GraphQL and REST API using Django to support monitoring PII
- Ensure 90%+ on-time project delivery and maintain uptime compliance.
- Utilize proxies and other networking techniques to optimize data collection and avoid detection.
- Build horizontally scalable architecture and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Work with security teams to address compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with Product to solve complex customer challenges.
- Conduct code reviews, uphold best practices, and promote a strong engineering culture.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Python developer
- 3+ years of experience with Django
- 3+ years of experience with Celery or other distributed task queue manager
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Passion for contributing to a collaborative culture that values innovation, continuous improvement, and personal accountability.
- Excellent knowledge of OOP and functional programming
- Strong Python development experience with web development and distributed systems
- Experience with browser automation, web scraping, proxies, and data extraction techniques.
- Expertise in scalable architectures and high-reliability systems.
- Ability to apply white hat and black hat methodologies in a responsible and ethical manner.
- A proactive mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- This role may require occasional domestic and international travel. All standard travel expenses will be covered in accordance with the company's travel reimbursement policy.
