Department Focus

This Head of Marketing role sits within our North American (NOAM) Go-to-Market (GTM) team, driving regional strategy and execution. It also maintains a strong dotted line to our global marketing team, ensuring alignment and leverage of global initiatives while focusing on the unique needs of the US and Canadian markets. As we are experiencing significant growth in the US market, this is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned marketing leader to make a substantial and direct impact on our expansion and success in the region.

Your Impact

As the Head of Marketing for the US and Canada, you will be the face of marketing in these regions, responsible for defining and executing a strategic marketing plan to capture demand and build our brand. You will be the expert on target customers, solution positioning, and growth levers, working cross-functionally to adapt global programs and implement locally-grown initiatives to achieve regional goals. Your performance in this role will be measured by marketing-sourced revenue (50%), total regional revenue (25%), and revenue from add-ons (25%).

This is a full-time, hybrid role with a flexible work schedule, offering 3 days in our Toronto, Canada office and 2 days from the comfort of your home. Flexibility may be required to accommodate team and client needs.

What you will do

    • Develop and execute comprehensive strategic marketing plans for North America (approx. 30%): Define how we will attract, acquire, and retain valuable customers, ensuring alignment with overall NOAM GTM objectives and global marketing strategy. This includes independently setting regional marketing goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Lead the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns (approx. 30%): Oversee brief development, creative direction (with agency support), channel planning, and hands-on channel execution for initiatives like email marketing and events. This involves innovating new campaign concepts and continuously optimizing existing ones based on performance data and market feedback.
    • Manage and optimize the regional marketing budget (approx. 15%): Strategically allocate resources across channels and campaigns to maximize ROI, making data-driven decisions on spending. Escalate significant budget deviations or requests for substantial additional investment to the NOAM GTM lead.
    • Collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders (approx. 15%): Work closely with the NOAM sales team to understand lead quality, funnel performance, and approach to target strategic accounts. Partner with global marketing teams (brand, product, operations, growth) to leverage global assets and determine where local supplementation is needed. Develop co-marketing strategies with regional partners to ensure mutual benefit and accountability.
    • Serve as the primary regional marketing expert and thought leader (approx. 10%): Deeply understand the target customer, effectively position our solutions, and identify the most effective levers to pull for growth in the US and Canadian markets. Continuously review and refine processes, and adapt global programs to suit regional needs, driving continuous improvement in customer/partner experiences. This role will also mentor and guide cross-functional team members on regional marketing best practices, with potential for future direct team management as the NOAM GTM team scales.

What you will Bring

    • 10+ years of experience planning, leading, and executing impactful B2B tech marketing campaigns.
    • Fluent in English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Skilled in crafting innovative strategies that leverage industry trends, customer insights, and business objectives.
    • Proven experience in managing and optimizing marketing budgets.
    • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, taking ownership of critical projects and delivering results.
    • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building solutions with limited resources.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.
    • Experience driving cross-functional teams toward a project goal.
    • Broad marketing skills encompassing brand, demand generation, growth, and event management.
    • Strategic thinking ability to build a comprehensive regional marketing plan and utilize data.
    • Strong teamwork skills, including high engagement with sales and account management, and coordination with global teams.
    • Leadership qualities including strong communication skills, decisiveness, and leading from the front.
    • Experience with CRM software (Hubspot) and Account Based Marketing Software (Rollworks, Zoominfo).
    • Nice to have: Any experience in the hospitality or restaurant industries.
