About this team:
Our People & Performance Team is the first point of contact for HR and people related queries. As trusted business partners, we work ‘As One’ to deliver solutions that are valued by the firm leadership. We are a national team based in Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Wellington & Christchurch with a shared passion for making an impact. We dare to think differently and share ideas to shape the future of the people strategy for the firm.
Working with us you’ll be doing anything from creating a talent experience that allows our people to thrive and grow to aligning people strategies with business needs and helping integrate teams after an acquisition. You’ll empower people and a wide range of organisations, enhancing your knowledge and skills every day.
Your typical day will include:
Responding to people, policy and employment relations queries
Acquiring and sharing knowledge
Organise, run and attend P&P related events
Supporting performance management & employment relations case work
Championing and influencing talent related initiatives to enhance the Deloitte Experience | Taku Wheako.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone with:
An approach to people management that is truly human – with empathy, respect and inclusivity
At least 2 years in a generalist HR role, preferably from the private sector where you have been responsible for implementing and applying HR policies and practices
An awareness of professional services and what makes us tick
Excellent relationship building skills
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, juggle tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong oral and written communication
Sound planning and organisational skills coupled with an acute attention to detail
A high level of integrity, strong commitment and a motivation to continuous learning
This role is based in our Rotorua office, and we are open to discussing this as a part time role at 3 days a week.
