Accounting and Reporting Advisory (ARA) is a newly created team combining passionate people from Audit Advisory and Private (Business Advisory) who excel in providing a broad range of advisory services to businesses. One of the newer areas is Treasury Services, where we offer middle and back office treasury services to a range of corporate treasury departments.
Our goal is to ease stress from our customers by outsourcing their day to day treasury processes to us. We work across a wide range of industries and organisations, from large listed corporate entities to smaller one person treasury departments, large public sector entities and even charities.
We have a very diverse team with a wide range of backgrounds and specialities with strengths in the treasury, treasury accounting, compliance and financial system areas.
What will you get to do?
In your first year you will build your core skills through top class training and mentor support that will set you up for a successful future career at Deloitte (or in industry):
- Work closely with clients and colleagues to understand the daily processes of various corporate treasury departments and how we make a difference
- Connect and collaborate with other teams within Deloitte such as Consulting and Audit & Assurance
- Utilise your time management skills as you manage the needs of multiple clients at once, excel your client services as you deliver only the best to our clients, increase your product knowledge and market awareness as you will work with a wide range of products.
As you grow within our team, the opportunities and pathways are endless. A few examples of the projects you could be involved with include:
- Dealing Money Market and derivative products on behalf of clients
- Managing banking facility drawdowns/repayments
- Managing of client cash management requirements
- Monthly treasury board reporting of behalf of clients
- Technical accounting and valuation techniques for specialist financial instruments
-Relationship Management of Clients, Banks, Auditors and plenty of other fantastic experiences.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
- You have a sharp and analytical mind. You are inquisitive, meticulous, and ambitious.
- Majoring in Accounting or Finance and studying a degree that makes you eligible for the Chartered Accountants Program or Certified Treasury Professional Program with INFINZ
- A strong communicator who possesses the skills needed to build relationships both in your team and with senior members of our customers
- Adaptable and driven – you understand what it is like to overcome obstacles through innovative solutions and an out-of-the-box mindset
- Great interpersonal skills and thrive in collaborative environments
- Self-awareness and good emotional intelligence to navigate between clients with competing priorities
