We’re looking for a talented and committed individual with a strong analytical and/or commercial skill set to join our Infrastructure, Commercial and Government Advisory team. You will be part of a team assisting Government and private sector clients navigate all stages of the infrastructure lifecycle. Cross sector collaboration and the opportunity to work with a wide range of SMEs across the business are features of this opportunity.
About the team
The Infrastructure, Commercial and Government Advisory team within our Financial Advisory business provides a full range of advisory services including; large scale capital projects and infrastructure, government policy and public sector decision making, procurement, programme design and implementation. We are a multidisciplinary team from diverse backgrounds that recognise the important role that government and private sector led infrastructure and service delivery projects play as an enabler of social and environmental outcomes and objectives, for example tackling key challenges such as climate change and carbon-neutrality goals.
We support clients with:
· Strategic decision making to identify the investments that deliver or enable their desired outcomes, including project feasibility assessment and Business Case development
· Project procurement, delivery and assurance
· The provision of commercial, financial and transaction advisory services
· Infrastructure management and asset management advisory services
· Policy advice
· Financial modelling
· Program design and implementation
Enough about us, let’s talk about you! Ideally you are someone with:
· A desire to be challenged and work in a dynamic environment.
· Some exposure to infrastructure operations or project delivery, policy development, and business case development, preferably in either a consulting or advisory environment.
· An ability to navigate the unknown when working on often complex issues and an ability to interpret and understand the key drivers of issues.
· An understanding of, or interest in, major infrastructure projects and programmes, and how they can enable broader outcomes.
· An interest in the public sector, and the drivers of government investment and decision making, including Business Case processes.
· Experience working in multi-disciplinary and fast-paced environments.
· Financial or quantitative analysis/modelling experience is favourable (but not essential).
· A strong work ethic, self-starting attitude, and ability to deliver to project timetables.
· Strong communication skills (written and spoken) and an ability to build client and internal relationships.
· A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. commerce, law, engineering, public policy, accounting and finance, or other quantitative degree demonstrating strong numeracy and written communication).
