About the Team
 
We are a dynamic team of multi-disciplined specialists based in Auckland who enjoy working together for a common goal.
Our team is a fantastic blend of finance specialist, deep accounting knowledge, sustainability, treasury and information technology, with diverse backgrounds, who have a wide range of skills which is really attractive to our clients who come to us for advice and perspective.
We focus on a collaborative approach to finding solutions for our clients, working with different teams throughout Deloitte, both on a local and global level.  
 
What will your typical day look like?
 
In this role you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting client projects/engagements, working in partnership with clients as their trusted advisor. You will be mainly working in our Accounting and Reporting Advisory team focused on helping and advising clients across finance related topics which could range from financial reporting client support, IFRS and technical accounting, Tax to our virtual CFO offering. Your focus will be on building strong, lasting relationships with both our public and private sector clients as well as reviewing the clients work and providing advice. You will also work with other teams within Deloitte to deliver cross-functional projects with our Consulting, Tax and Business Advisory, Risk Advisory or Financial Advisory teams, bringing together your project management and financial reporting skills to collaborate with colleagues in Assurance and Advisory to deliver a cohesive, comprehensive result for the client.
 
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
 
·        Full membership of CAANZ (or equivalent) with 3+ years’ experience in NZ or globally.
·        Proven ability to manage projects and solve problems in the finance world – this could be through experience within Audit (ideally Big 4 or large firm experience), other professional service experience, or in industry.
·        Strong technical accounting skills, and knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
·        To be self-motivated, results driven & client oriented.
·        A willingness to learn, and desire to work in a constantly changing environment.
