About the Platform and Cloud Engineering

Our PACE team are thought leaders and specialists in API, Cloud and Container technologies. We accelerate digital transformation by unlocking the value of core systems at the heart of organisations to the many and varied digital channels required by modern applications. We work with our customers to create modern technology solutions that can be transparently run and managed in the cloud or by hybrid architectures.
As a result, we’re looking to add an experienced AWS Cloud Senior Solution Architect to join our team and focus on delivering innovative solutions to our Cloud customers under our Deloitte and Deloitte Digital brands throughout New Zealand.
What we are looking for from our AWS/ Cloud Senior Solutions Architect:
- Lead client engagements as a Technical Architect/Subject Matter Expert to define technology strategy and introducing innovative solutions through the introduction of Cloud Platforms.
- Lead and guide colleagues in the Design, Build and Deployment requirements based on agreed technical documentation/specifications.
- Lead client and stakeholder sessions to understand complex challenges and assist with proposing solutions to meet those needs.
- Introduce and establish core a DevOps framework to deliver a high standard of development practices.
- Own proof of concepts and developing innovative solutions to uncover new opportunities and expand existing relationships.
- Ability to think critically and solve business use cases to provide fit for purpose solutions.
- Strong desire to maintain a high level of continuous learning in the latest tools, processes and methodology available in market.
- Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and vendors.
- Become an active contributor to Technology network and grow Cloud Platform knowledge base across wider Deloitte Consulting colleagues and external community groups. You’re encouraged to upskill and gain certifications your areas of expertise.
About you:
- A proven background in an IT vendor, consulting or professional services organization in an advisory capacity.
- Masterful in the areas of DevOps and Agile frameworks and how to apply them.
- Experience owning the design, build and deployment of AWS Cloud platforms. Must possess the necessary AWS industry certifications.
- Good understanding of Web Services, API, Rest or RPC protocols.
- A willingness to be hands on and contribute to the delivery of projects using modern software development/scripting techniques such as Java.NET, PHP, Perl, Ruby and Python.
- Excellent communication skills with high attention to detail. Fluent English language (written and verbal) skills are a must. Any other language skills will be a bonus.
