Role:
Delphix is seeking a Sr. Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our India team. The Delphix Engine is the nexus of a complex world, and we need people who can shift through the complexity and find an elegant management representation of this world. We have a world-class team, and we're looking for someone to come in and help build infrastructure, integrations, and automation that will help our internal teams be more efficient & support world class service delivery to our customers.
As a Sr. Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you are a problem solver first and passionate about infrastructure automation with a focus on cloud native solutions. You have diverse experience on Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) tools, CI/CD, and cloud native services, with a proven track record of delivering reusable, durable, secure, and cost-optimized infrastructure solutions. You will be working closely with your Cloud Infrastructure teammates to build out a cohesive IT infrastructure management ecosystem. Our projects are focused on enabling other teams within Delphix by building dependable and elastic infrastructure solutions powered primarily by AWS, but not just limited to it.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing infrastructure solutions to support Delphix’s internal teams and enable them to be more efficient. Focus on Azure and AWS
- Manage & build world class infrastructure & IT pipelines that are used by internal teams for everything from development to QA
- Manage and operate modern hybrid cloud infrastructure and network tooling
- Operation of existing and new tooling, including responding to monitoring alerts and on call notifications
- Promoting sustainable incident response and disaster recovery, including diagnosis and root cause analysis
- Keeping security at the forefront of all solutions and integrations
Must have:
- Exceptional communication skills
- Experience working with a Global team across different time zones
- 5-10 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer working with DevOps and Cloud tooling in a Enterprise Hybrid environment
- In depth experience with networking in a hybrid cloud environment (firewalls and routing protocols)
- In depth experience with security in a hybrid cloud environment
- At least 2 years in managing and supporting production systems
Key Requirements:
- Deep understanding of Azure and AWS infrastructure services as well as at least general familiarity with other major cloud providers (GCP, OCI, and IBM)
- Excellent cloud administration and configuration skills with a focus on Azure and AWS
- Solid security and networking skills in a hybrid cloud environment (firewalls and routing protocols)
- Firm understanding of CI/CD processes and principles (GitHub Actions and Terraform Cloud)
- Proficiency with Terraform creation and other infrastructure automation tooling
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, or PowerShell)
- Understanding of microservice architectures and containerization
- Proficiency in implementing cloud security and governance processes
- Understanding of cost-optimization principles and methods in a cloud native environment
Nice to have:
- Experience with AWS Control Tower and AWS Transit Gateway
- Experience with Fortinet Firewalls, Ruckus Switches, and VLANs
- Experience writing AWS Lambda Functions
- Experience with IdP Functions like SAML and SSO in hybrid cloud environments
- Experience with Active Directory and LDAP both on-premise and as managed services
- Experience with Docker and other forms of containerization
- Experience with SQL and NOSQL database solutions in a cloud environment
- Experience with VMWare and On-Premise Servers
- Experience operating and administrating both Windows and Linux servers
- Experience with multi-cloud integrations (Azure and AWS primarily with GCP, OCI, and IBM Cloud mixed in as well)
- AWS Certifications or equivalent certifications from other cloud providers
