Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking IT System Administrator to join a talented team of system engineers dedicated to delivering mission-critical infrastructure while ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. We are seeking qualified systems engineers with a background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis within a DoD or large corporate organization.

What you will be doing:

    • Development and deployment of NIPR and SIPR images, along with a tailored configuration for closed network systems (if deemed necessary for training), while eliminating unnecessary Windows environment features, likely to be provided through a virtual machine setup. Creation of scripts, possibly using PowerShell or Batch files, to streamline the setup of Windows Profiles for users. Continuous training for staff on utilizing the electronic environment. Budget forecasting for IT refresh needs, including monitors, laptops, hardware, and peripheral devices.
    • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.       
    • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
    • Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability (99% uptime).
    • Test compatibility of newly identified software and hardware to enhance instruction delivery.
    • Identify trends in electronic class material delivery and work with vendors for test equipment procurement.
    • Provide documentation and instruction to classroom instructors on using classroom hardware.
    • Conduct ongoing training for personnel in the use of the electronic environment.
    • Forecast budget, vendor needs, and types of equipment for IT refresh (monitors, laptops, etc.).
    • Monitor and test application performance, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with developers for solutions.
    • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
    • Write and maintain custom scripts to improve system efficiency.
    • Participate in designing information and operational support systems.
    • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support.
    • Liaise with vendors and IT personnel for problem resolution. and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.

What you will need:

    • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box).
    • Familiarity with monitoring systems.
    • Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, batch files).
    • Strong networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
    • Must possess DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher. (i.e. Security+ ce)
    • US Citizenship is required, with an active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance (active within the last 24 months).

Preferred Skills:

    • Administration of virtualization environments using technologies like vCenter, ESXi, and storage provisioning.
    • Experience in troubleshooting and configuring Windows operating systems and Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DHCP, GPOs, DNS, LDAP, MS Exchange, MECM, MS SQL, WSUS).
    • Maintaining both physical and virtual network environments. Familiarity with Cisco and/or VMware NSX technologies and routing protocols.
    • Experience writing automation scripts (Batch, Bash, PowerShell, Python).

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $90,000-$105,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
