Delta Solutions and Strategies is seeking an Information Technology Specialist (Journeyman) to potentially join our team in Washington DC. This position supports SAF/AQB which is responsible for providing administrative support needed to enable Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) activities.
***This position is contingent upon contract award and is expected to begin July 2023***
What you'll be doing:
- Typically performs all functional duties independently
- Establish a standalone network at various locations within the Continental US (CONUS)
- Format 70 – 150 hard drives annually to support newly drafted Authorization-to-operate (ATO) and update Concept of Operations (CONOPs)
- Attend pre-planning meetings, post lessons learned, and prepare After Action Reports (AAR). The AAR will be used to gather facts, identify positive and negative trends and provide a platform to resolve issues to include requesting consumables to support current and future studies sessions and address life cycle replacements
- Directly coordinate on all SAB network related tasking’s (scheduling shipments, storage and staging of equipment)
- Coordinate shipping arrangements with origin mailroom facility and destination point of contacts (POC) for SAB network equipment shipments
- Courier classified (Secret and TS-SCI) material within the National Capital Region (NCR), with possible worldwide courier requirements in direct support to the customer
- Assist customer with identifying available government destruction facilities (if required)
- Assist with setting up Temporary Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) resetting vault and safe combinations upon arrival and departure
- Monitor the Scientific Advisory Board Database (SABDB) SQL database data records for accuracy, modify web application (ASP) code, generate routine & non-routine reports/queries, and training support staff on web application
- Maintain inventory of equipment including but not limited to computers, lock bags, cables and adapters, projectors, projectors, scanners, CDs/DVDs, and other material related to on site product configuration and control
- Transfer files to and from external hard drives
- Develop artifacts to support annual new membership nomination and approval process
- Develop artifacts to support annual study topic nomination process
- Update and maintain organizational content on the AF Portal and public website, training and resolving content issues and questions
- Maintain organizational content and access control on SharePoint applications, training, and resolving content issues and questions; set-up and maintain organizational file plan
- Provide organizational workflow management support, monitor organizational inboxes, manage organizational workflow tracking tool and provide regular status of organizational workflow at staff meeting
- Maintain All Partners Access Network usernames and passwords, resolves password reset requests, establish folder structure at Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) level for board members, AQB personnel, and volunteer executive officers
What you'll need:
- BA/BS; 6 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a BA/BS degree. Associate degree plus 4 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a BA/BS degree.
- Years of experience: 3-10
- IAT Level II Certification
- Proficiency with MS Windows Server, MS Exchange Server, MS operating systems (OS) administration and associated hardware, SharePoint, Structured Query Language (SQL) programming language, Active Server Pages (ASP) coding, and low to high and parallel Data Transfer Authority (DTA)
- Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologies to include communications security (COMSEC) integration
- Knowledge of AF Public Information Management System, AF SharePoint, AF Portal and AF SQL Applications IT systems and experience using these applications in the AF environment
- Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DoD military/civilian personnel and industry partners
- This position requires travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR) and the individual must be able to lift to 50lbs
- Handles confidential and classified (Secret/TS-SCI) information, correspondence, and communications
