Delta Solutions and Strategies is seeking a highly skilled and motivated candidates to join a high-performance team to provide program management and critical infrastructure assessment support to United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) for Military Construction and Facility, Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization programs as well as engineering functions for specialized programs, plans, and initiatives.  This position will involve periodic travel to many US Space Command installations in the Continental United States and abroad to perform engineering assessments of critical space-ground infrastructure.  The analysis supports sustainment, restoration, and modernization efforts to maintain mission readiness.

What you will be doing:

    • Perform analysis and research, including on-site engineering assessments of USSPACECOM’s globally distributed ground-based infrastructure, to augment official investigations and support commercial and academic R&D and outreach activities.
    • Provide technical advice and assistance to USSPACECOM J3 and J5 on reliability, resiliency, endurability, and survivability of RPIE, primary power, and HVAC, supporting task critical assets, and weapon systems worldwide.
    • Evaluate command programs and planning/programming documents and provide input into design process and reach-back expertise.
    • Provide oversight for on-going construction projects and programs, participate in meetings, and serve as Command technical consultant and schedule/coordinate meetings.
    • Manage all phases of program management, provide technical support, and aid in prioritizing identified requirements for investment and advocate for funding.

What you will need:

    • Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as, but not limited to, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
    • Knowledge of relevant tools supporting program management of USSPACECOM critical infrastructure such as BUILDER Sustainment Management System
    • Experience performing assessments of critical infrastructure for USSPACECOM ground systems/facilities or similar systems in other agencies (e.g. DOE, NASA)
    • Flexibility to travel to globally distributed USSPACECOM ground facilities to perform on-site engineering assessments approximately 5-10x per year (varies)
    • Ability to analyze situations and make well informed recommendations
    • Excellent communicator and effective team member
    • Ability to present briefings, discuss and coordinate problems and recommend solutions
    • Expertise with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
    • Strong organizational and planning skills
    • Experience in providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations for mission and program challenges
    • TS/SCI clearance required

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $115,000-$125,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
