Delta Solutions and Strategies is seeking highly skilled and motivated candidates to join a high-performance team and provide support to US Space Command J77 as a Joint Training and Exercise Planning and Assessment Subject Matter Expert in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  In this role, you will support USSPACECOM to execute all activities in the Design, Planning, Preparation, Execution, and Analysis, Evaluation, and Report phases of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC).

What you will be doing:

    • Support the USSPACECOM Joint Exercise Division by establishing the JELC for HQ USSPACECOM Tier 1 and Tier 2 exercises.
    • Plan, develop, execute, and analyze joint assessments, future concepts, studies/research, and lessons learned for wargames, TTXs, ROC drills, and seminars.
    • Provide SME support to the Joint Exercise Branch across multiple space mission areas including but not limited to SATCOM, GPS, Space Domain Awareness, Missile Warning, STO and Space Control
    • Manage JTIMS, support, support JELC for USSPACECOM Tier 1 exercises, and reciprocal events at other CCMDs.
    • Provide IMAT development support to assess and validate JOC, GOC, and other operations centers on critical, time sensitive issues.
    • Identify intel exercise objectives, develop TPFDD for each exercise using JOPES, provide JECG augmentation, support design and conduct of CJCS SAV training events, provide feedback for AARs, create, and prepare media, and manage inputs for JMETL and integrate with UJTL and use JTIMS, DRRS, and JLLIS, as needed.
    • Serve as an exercise observer/trainer/assessor, coordinate and configure equipment systems, support execution of the Joint Training & Execution System, and design and conduct space exercise events including G-IE, Global Lightning, Austere Challenge, Large-Scale Global Exercise, Pacific Sentry, Pacific Fury, and Advanced Battle Management System on-ramps.
    • Maintain exercise SharePoint portals, manage the JMSEL, and use the USTRANSCOM Single Mobility System – SMS to provide estimates for JETP CTP costs.

What you will need:

    • Experience in initiating and/or developing Government specified content for USSPACECOM J7 joint exercises, tabletop exercises and rehearsal of concept drills, or similar and relevant Combatant Command experience.
    • Demonstrated capability initiating, supervising, and developing requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs.
    • Experience providing strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff; providing detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues. 
    • Ability to identify and resolve challenges at a strategic level.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to brief/interactive with senior (GO/FLAG) level officer and senior civilians.
    • Experience coordinating plans between internal and external staff agencies to ensure a coherent effort.
    • Current/relevant space/joint space operations knowledge and background.
    • Previous experience on a Combatant Command, MAJCOM, HHQ, Joint Staff, OSD etc. staff desired.
    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher required; 15+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
    • Completion of JPME I is highly desired, and JPME II is preferred.
    • Current Top Secret clearance with SCI, ACCM and SAP eligibility.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $120,000-$130,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
