Delta Solutions and Strategies is seeking a highly skilled and motivated candidates to support development, site integration, training and deployment of Space Domain Awareness (SDA) capabilities.  SDA includes the effective detection, tracking, identification, and characterization of near-Earth satellites and space debris, and the understanding of any factor associated with the space domain that could affect space operations and thereby impact the security, safety, economy, or environment of our Nation and its allies.

Our SDA team supports the development, maturation, integration and deployment of new SDA capabilities to deliver new capabilities to the Title 10 and Title 50 communities.  In addition to supporting development efforts, we evaluate SDA software data processing, orbital analysis, mission planning and decision support tool sets for operational relevance and acceptability supporting on-site integration of new capabilities and development of associated training.  Our cohesive team works seamlessly across a dynamic, multi-contractor, multi-system effort to build relationships, integrate systems, and work collaboratively to solve difficult problems facing the SDA community.    

What you will be doing:

    • Develop a high level of proficiency with our SDA tools necessary to develop and conduct technical training necessary to prepare end-users for system releases while writing and maintaining training materials as well as supporting system and software documentation. 
    • Engage with the customer, developer, and user community in training events to build end user proficiency, understand and translate issues for development teams, and advocate for integrated SDA Indications and Warning capabilities.
    • Apply exceptional soft skills to navigate a complex network of government agencies, contractors, operators and developers to build not just the tools but also the relationships necessary to transition systems successfully into operational use.

What you will need:

    • Experience performing SDA missions in operational settings using relevant tools, techniques, and procedures to perform conjunction assessments and other space fight safety activities.
    • In depth knowledge of DoD and National capabilities, sensors, and networks, as well as current and emerging SDA challenges in the space environment.
    • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining training materials using Instructional System Design principles; classroom teaching experience and confidence working with individuals from widely varying organizations and skill sets.
    • Experience with managing and tailoring the many and various Microsoft documents, presentations and spreadsheets necessary to communicate system needs, advocate capabilities, and train users.
    • Soft skills necessary to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency, multi-contractor SDA development effort.
    • A self-starter’s ability to work on multiple levels ranging from strategic communications of mission capabilities to technical interchanges with software development teams while being able to roll up your sleeves to develop and maintain program training and technical documentation supporting transition of SDA systems into operational use.
    • 10+ years of progressive experience in Space Domain Awareness mission areas.
    • 5+ years of experience with working in the Title 10 and Title 50 communities.
    • BA or BS, preferably in a Science and Technology discipline such engineering or physics.
    • TS/SCI with Polygraph

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $90,000-$115,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
