Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a Civil Engineer at Peterson Space Force Base, CO. Primary responsibilities include providing statements of work, cost estimates, professional reviews, assessments, and offering expert opinions regarding engineering and project knowledge management, studies, system assessments, drafting position papers and staffing packages for Government review.

What you will be doing:

    • Serve as the primary mechanical / civil engineering subject matter expert with a focus on project management.
    • Acts as a liaison between different government organizations, contractor personnel, contracting, and end users on the cradle to grave execution of required projects.
    • Provide assistance and technical support in the identification, development, and preparation of FSRM, Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) and customer-funded programs.
    • Work with customers to define project requirements, prepare cost estimates, and draft statements of work and other components of the acquisition package for government approval and submission.
    • The contractor will be expected to prepare 2-4 project acquisition packages per month. Coordinate with other governmental personnel, as necessary, to define project requirements, ensure compliance with Federal, State, local and Air/Space Force regulations.
    • Coordinate projects with other engineers in a variety of disciplines, architects, and planners as well as tenant organization representatives and construction agents such as private contracting companies, Army Corps of Engineers, and the AF Civil Engineer Center.
    • Provide construction oversight as necessary to ensure compliance with Statement of Work, design drawings and applicable code requirements, and provide feedback to the government. Work with contractor and customer to identify any issues on site during construction and assist 21 CES-Peterson with recommendations for resolution. Review contractor on-site progress and provide 21 CES-Peterson with recommendations/inputs on a weekly basis regarding project completion % and how well contractor is adhering to their approved schedule.
    • Ensures federal, state, and local codes concerning health, safety, and the environment are strictly adhered to in the programming, design, and construction of real property facilities.
    • Support the programming/base development, design, and/or operations and maintenance (O&M) functions by preparing/reviewing designs for a variety of real property facilities construction projects, determining design criteria, putting together cost estimates and time schedules, preparing architectural and engineering (A&E) statements of work, etc.

What you will need:

    • Minimum of 5 years of direct project related experience.
    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in mechanical or civil engineering from an accredited university
    • Mechanical or Civil Engineer background required
    • AutoCAD Experience
    • Ability to pass a Public Trust investigation and obtain a Government Common Access Card

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $110,000-$140,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
