Delta Solutions and Strategies is seeking a highly skilled and motivated candidates to join a high-performance team working within (or supporting) the US Space Command (USSPACECOM) J3. The J35, Future Operations Division consists of three branches: J351 Contingency Operations Branch; J352 Campaign and integration Branch; and J353 Human Space Flight Support (HSFS) Branch. This position will actively support the development, review, and execution of joint space operational planning across all space mission areas in support of USSPACECOM’s global operations.
What you will be doing:
- Conducting joint planning to support the three Joint Planning Groups within the USSPACECOM J35 in accordance with Joint Publication 5-0 and other Joint Operations directives.
- Participating in activities to integrate and synchronize plans, concepts, designs, and methods with the Joint Staff, services, departments, agencies, and other space mission stakeholders.
- Scheduling, and setting up meeting locations and coordinating for communications
andto support the planning and execution of multi-level exercises and war-games (this may include travel and extended workdays for large-scale Global Exercises). - Attending USSPACECOM-provided training.
- Using command-directed tools for execution of tasks such as Command and Control of the Information Environment (C2IE) and Task Management Tool (TMT).
- Supporting the J35’s Campaign and Integration Teams to support campaign plan development, the annual order, and operations via the execution of Operational Planning Teams (OPT), Combat Action Rehearsals (CAR), and use of C2IE.
- Supporting joint planning in accordance with JP 5-0, Joint Operations JP 3-0 series, and other Joint Operations directives
- Integrating and synchronizing plans, concepts, designs, and methods.
What you will need:
- Five or more years of experience developing Government-specified content for joint operational planning
- Experience in providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis, and recommendations for space missions and program challenges
- Strong verbal and written skills; ability to communicate effectively with senior officers and government civilians
- Experience at a Combatant Command.
- BA/BS or 5 years operational relevant experience in lieu of a degree; MA/MS desired
- Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple customers
- TS/SCI clearance; SAP/SAR program experience; Willingness to submit to a counterintelligence polygraph
$110,000 - $120,000 a year
