Delta Solutions and Strategies is seeking an Acquisition Program Analyst (Journeyman) to potentially join our team in Washington DC. This position supports SAF/AQP which directs, plans, and programs for development, procurement, and product support of $10B portfolio of global power programs. The portfolio includes legacy fighters, fifth-generation aircraft, as well as sixth-generation aircraft programs.
***This position is contingent upon contract award and is expected to begin July 2023***
What you'll be doing:
- Typically performs all functional duties independently
- Support HAF budget preparation and defense, SAE oversight and decision-making activities, PEO program execution and oversight efforts of aircraft platforms
- Maintain and analyze planning, scheduling, and management data.
- Research and analyze program trends, identifying issues, and recommending solutions
- Track compliance with stated program direction and identifying issues
- Review and provide recommendations on existing and proposed Air Force acquisition and capability area policies and implementation
- Maintain historical Air Force weapon program documentation and developing summary documents/briefings and training material
- Prepare PPBE documentation to ensure they accurately articulate the current program
- Monitor on-going studies, analyses, and developmental work relevant to weapon systems
- Support program-specific efforts like CONOPS development, CDD, CPD, IER, and requirements working groups
- Review and provide data to assist in preparation for legislative hearings, program documentation, briefing packages and read-aheads, Congressional staffer visits, and other events to ensure an integrated and consistent Air Force position in response to Congressional questions, issues, and requests for information on assigned program/portfolio
- Coordinate cross portfolio taskers, budgets, and Congressional information
What you'll need:
- BA/BS; 6 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a BA/BS degree. Associate degree plus 4 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a BA/BS degree.
- Years of experience: 3-10
- Relevant acquisition experience in a System Program Office and/or HAF (or equivalent) required
- Secret Security Clearance
