Delta Solutions and Strategies is seeking an Acquisition Program Analyst (Senior) to potentially join our team in Washington DC. This position supports SAF/AQB which is responsible for providing administrative support needed to enable Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) activities.
***This position is contingent upon contract award and is expected to begin July 2023***
What you'll be doing:
- Typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. May oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job
- Collect, evaluate, and digitally organize files, papers, briefings, reports, and other materials using Microsoft Office programs
- Prepare technical documents for publication and presentation, which includes basic and applied scientific research subject matter
- Provide editing and writing support.
- Compile reports and recommendations
- Assist with publication review and printing
- Develop and maintain a study master schedule that includes meetings, key dates, study panel personnel, contact information, and anticipated deliverable and out brief dates
- Plan, organize, and execute meetings, out briefs, and events for large groups of people associated with studies, Science and Technology (S&T) Reviews, and quarterly board meetings
- Make hotel reservations, coordinate/provide transportation, and organize meals for large groups of people associated with SAB studies, S&T Reviews, and quarterly board meetings
- Request the submission or transfer of security clearance information for organizational personnel and track receipt
- Assist with set up and use of IT support at meetings and events (Computer, Projector, Screen, and internet or network connection)
- Research and analyze organizational or process issues and recommend solutions
- Propose ideas to improve studies, S&T reviews, and quarterly board meetings
- Research, analyze, and report on S&T trends that may affect SAB Studies
- Research, analyze, and provide information on Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD)/DAF scientific and programmatic studies (e.g., Defense Science Board (DSB), Nuclear Regulatory Committee (NRC), and Air Force Studies and Analysis Agency (AFSAA)
- Write, review, and provide written material for official release
- Research and analyze trends and factors that affect SAB studies, reviews, and resources
- Draft briefings, papers, reports, responses to inquiries, descriptive summaries, meeting minutes, and detailed spreadsheets related to studies, S&T reviews, and quarterly board meetings
- Draft reports and written material associated with FACA requirements
- Coordinate executive officer support for the analyst position
- Process travel vouchers in the Defense Travel System (DTS)
- Draft briefings, papers, reports, responses to official inquiries, and descriptive summaries for Major Command (MAJCOM), Field Command (FIELDCOM) Air Staff, Space Staff, and other senior DAF and DOD organizations
- Provide support to track the Suggestion Program, Freedom of Information Act, and Mandatory Declassification Review Cases
- Propose, maintain, and report on travel budget for S&T reviews and study-related travel
- Mark, label, secure, file and maintain all classified information associated with S&T reviews and studies using government approved and/or appropriated IT systems and/or storage devices
- Handle confidential and classified (Secret/TS-SCI) information, correspondence, and communications
What you'll need:
- MA/MS; 12 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a MA/MS degree. BA/BS degree plus 8 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a MA/MS degree.
- Years of experience: >10
- Experience in project management and research analysis to include relevant experience in the military or government
- Familiarity with the DAF construct, have experience working with senior government executives, a solid understanding of DoD protocol, and experience in conducting detailed studies
- TS/SCI Security Clearance
