Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking an Emergency Management and Control Systems (EMCS) Specialist to join our team at Buckley Space Force Base.

What you will be doing:

    • Candidate should have previous experience installing, servicing and commissioning commercial HVAC control systems,  knowledge of how systems act and interact in a building, have networking experience and have developed control system programming for complete buildings.
    • Knowledge of electronic theories and practice; of integrated electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, optical, and mechanical systems; of such applications as radar, digital or analog computers, digital display devices, and of the technology and practices which integrate these components into a total functional system; and of mathematics including algebra and basic trigonometric functions.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
    • Skill in the set up and operation of computer controlled automated test equipment (ATE) and test stands, oscilloscopes (dual trace, storage, digitized), spectrum, network and distortion analyzers, frequency counters, and signal generators; in interpreting complex drawings, specifications, and schematics of complete multi-system complexes such as the complete electronics package for an industrial control system including numerous interconnections of signal paths both between and within individual subsystems of the multi-system complex; and in troubleshooting, installing, repairing, and maintaining electronic integrated multi-systems where circuit theory must be used to understand the operation of a large number of circuits and functions, and the interaction of subsystems which create malfunctions.
    • Skill in the use of a variety of hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, wrenches, soldering irons, and micro soldering units.
    • Ability to follow drawings for multi-system complexes of numerous integrated systems; to trace the effect of a change in one subsystem to other integrated subsystems and determine which controls and devices must be changed or adjusted to compensate; and to repair, align, and adjust complete multi-systems such as the electronics package in a highly automated and other complex functions are performed by numerous systems that are extensively interconnected with data feedback loops.
    • Ability to use computer terminals to maintain records and document actions.
    • Light to moderate physical exertion is required in lifting and carrying items weighing from 10 to 40 pounds, and occasional objects weighing in excess of 40 pounds with the help of weight handling equipment or with assistance from other workers.
    • The work requires standing, bending, and stooping for extended periods of time on concrete or composition floors. Climbing and working in high places (towers) may be required.
    • Employee typically works in well lighted, heated, and ventilated areas. Work is sometimes performed outside in inclement weather.
    • Exposed to the possibility of electric shock; burns from electrical energy or hot solder; and cuts and bruises.
    • Operates EMCS used to monitor and control all HVAC systems within the facility. Starts/stops equipment, does trend logs and graphs on equipment operation and adjusts control limits on HVAC systems and subsystems within the facility.
    • Reads and interprets computer logic to troubleshoot problems in equipment. Uses Government furnished program: Orcaview by Delta, Alerton controls and Johnson Controls to review and enter data in the operations log.
    • Uses Human/Machine Interface systems to monitor the operation of on-line equipment or to place equipment in or out of service. Utilizes Air Force Sustainment Management System (Tririga) to initiate work orders, order parts and materials, and open or close out work orders. Utilizes Tririga to request parts and material necessary to maintain the operation of equipment vital to the mission of the facility.
    • Utilizes established safety practices, rules, regulations, and procedures to maintain safe and clean work environment. Utilizes required safety equipment and clothing, such as safety glasses, hard toe shoes, respirators, hardhats, full arc-flash PPE, and fire retardant gloves. Uses and maintains tools, including computer controlled systems, specialized test equipment, and related testing devices.
    • This support is considered mission essential and work hours will be non-standard work hour shifts to support a 24/7/365 function to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

What you will need:

    • TS/SCI required or be actively seeking a TS/SCI with a Secret Clearance already attained.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the hourly range for this position is $48.00-$50.00. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
