Delta Solutions and Strategies is seeking a Technical Manager (Senior) to potentially join our team in Washington DC. This position supports SAF/AQR which serves as the Air Force S&T Executive, Air Force Acquisition Chief Engineer and Technical Authority, the Air Force Corrosion Control and Prevention Executive, Air Force Standardization Executive, and functional manager for the S&E career field. Develops and implements plans, policies, and procedures for Air Force S&T, laboratory management, technology transition (to include Joint Capability Technology Demonstrations (JCTD)), Technology Cooperation Program, technology transfer, development planning (DP), and experimentation.
This position manages various programs, such as, software assurance, program and technology protection, and supply chain risk management. Additionally, this position manages SAF/AQR’s oversight function for policy and guidance.
***This position is contingent upon contract award and is expected to begin July 2023***
What you'll be doing:
- Handle confidential and classified (Secret/TS-SCI) information, correspondence, and communications
Typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. May oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job
Assess requirements and support the development of guidance and procedures governing the interaction SSE into all acquisition phases of lifecycle management and sustainment of AF weapon systems
Plan and coordinate SSE of weapon systems to include strategic planning, systems engineering, capital planning, and investment control, workforce planning, standards development, resource management, knowledge management, architecture, infrastructure planning and management, as well as auditing
Plan and coordinate policy development for the acquisition, implementation, and integration of CSRS techniques into software supporting operations in all phases of life cycle management and sustainment of AF weapon systems
Review existing and proposed policy documents that have cybersecurity, cyber resilience and/or cyber survivability sections for possibly impact to DAF acquisition programs
Provide cyber survivability key performance parameter (CS KPP) expertise especially on weapon systems to develop, implement, and evaluate actions to improve the cyber security and resiliency of operational software
Establish and promote consistency across validated security and resiliency software in support of operational systems-level requirements CONOPS and architectures and ensures all program technical activities are consistent with these system- level baseline documents
Review cyber assessment, evaluation, and test program technical approaches to identify weapons systems where integration of material solutions or Tactics, Technics, and Practices (TTP) for operational software improves cyber security and resiliency of the entire system
Review acquisition programs for integration and technical changes to programs to achieving better cybersecurity, survivability, and resiliency
What you'll need:
- MA/MS; 12 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a MA/MS degree. BA/BS degree plus 8 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a MA/MS degree.
- Years of experience: >10
- Master’s degree in Software Engineering, cybersecurity, or Information Assurance
- 10+ years of experience in Assurance in engineering
- Staff, requirements, or test experience is highly desired
- DAU Practitioner Level (or equivalent) certification in Engineering & Technical Management is also desired
- TS/SCI Security Clearance
