As a Maintenance Technician at Dempsey Uniform & Linen Supply, you will troubleshoot, repair, and service conveyors, pumps, motors, and other production machinery in a high-volume industrial laundry.
We provide the training and tools—bring a solid mechanical foundation, reliable work history, and a willingness to learn.
Schedule: Full-time | On-site | 3 × 12-hour shifts + rotating half-day Saturday
What You'll Do:
- Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, and basic pneumatic / hydraulic components.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance; complete checklists, change belts and bearings, lubricate equipment, and document work.
- Assist senior technicians with advanced electrical, PLC, and automation projects and learn diagnostics for VFDs and control systems.
- Support general facility upkeep (basic plumbing, light carpentry, safety inspections).
- Contribute to continuous-improvement and 5S initiatives; help identify recurring issues and maintain organized work areas.

Qualifications
- TECH I (required)
- 6 + months of mechanical, electro-mechanical, or facilities experience (vocational training, military, internship, or on-the-job).
- Foundational knowledge of motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, and hand tools.
- Proven reliability and strong work ethic (clean attendance, positive references).
- Willingness to learn, follow safety procedures, and work 12-hour shifts.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and stand for extended periods.
- TECH II (in addition to Tech I)
- 2 + years’ experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot three-phase motor circuits.
- Familiarity with VFDs, sensors, and conveyor controls.
- Experience using a CMMS or digital work-order system.
- Basic welding or fabrication skills (preferred).
