The Role:

We are seeking a SAR Engineer /Scientist to join our Innovation Team. This is an opportunity to work on a diverse scientific team to develop innovative algorithms and mathematical solutions to support our growing customer mission needs. Candidates with expertise in radar algorithms, radar system analysis, image formation processing, remote sensing, and/or software development for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) applications are encouraged to apply. Strong communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and engineering teams are desired.

Top Secret Clearance is required (exceptions can be made for internal applicants).

Your Impact:

    • Develop and analyze algorithms for new radar applications, demonstrating advanced capabilities and applications.
    • Work with a team of scientists and engineers to utilize SAR, other GEOINT, as well as other data sources to implement analytic solutions and services that take our customers past their current analytical plateau.  
    • Actively participate as a member of a cross-disciplinary team, openly communicating your ideas, insights, and feedback and helping to continuously improve processes. 
    • Present technical outcomes to internal and external stakeholders and customers.

What You Bring:

    • Strong programming skills (Python, C++, or similar) and AWS cloud service experience. 
    • Real-world experience with SAR image formation, algorithms, and exploitation concepts.
    • Understanding of the application of non-literal imagery and how to apply complex mathematical algorithms to extract relevant intelligence information.
    • Working knowledge of novel waveforms and associated signal processing algorithms
    • Familiarity with automatic target recognition technologies
    • Experience with modern machine learning techniques applied to sensor data exploitation
    • Must possess the ability to communicate effectively in writing and oral presentations, complete task in a timely manner with minimal supervision, and the ability to work cooperatively and effectively as a team member.

Bonus Skills/Experience

    • MS or higher degree in Engineering, Science, Imagery Analysis, or related STEM degree.
    • Experience in the SAR discipline of GEOINT analytic tradecraft designing and testing algorithm performance.
    • Experience working in the DoD/IC.

    • The base salary range for this position is $162,000-$190,000.
    • Please note the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level & competencies as well as security clearance.
