About the role
As a Hardware Engineering Technician at Dexterity, you'll play a crucial role in building and troubleshooting 1st articles of new electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical sub-assemblies and robotic systems. You will be an integral part of the team of hardware and system engineers chartered with designing new products and transitioning them to contract manufacturers. This role offers hands-on experience in the newly emerging field of AI-powered robotics, and a chance to make a meaningful impact in this new industry.

Responsibilities
Build, setup, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and commission electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical sub-assemblies and robotic systems. Rework sub-assemblies as a result of testing or failures.
Execute test plans of sub-assemblies and robotic systems and collect detailed results for engineering analysis. Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommend solutions to technical problems.
Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance of sub-assemblies and robotic systems in the lab. Support 24X7 continuous testing of robotic systems.
Create and maintain a safe and organized testing lab environment.
Support manufacturing during new product introduction to Contract Manufacturers.
Support Product Operations during new product introduction to the field / customers including upgrades.

Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven hands-on experience in building, testing, and troubleshooting electrical, electro-mechanical, and mechanical systems.
Strong understanding of testing methodologies and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to interpret schematics, drawings, and diagrams to execute test plans or troubleshoot issues.
Familiarity with specialized lab test equipment, tools, and software to perform testing.
Excellent communication skills, a service-oriented attitude, and the ability to provide timely technical support to resolve urgent issues.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Base pay is one element of our Total Rewards package which may also include comprehensive benefits and equity etc., depending on eligibility. The annual base salary range for this position is from $103,000 to $135,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as years of relevant experience, skills, education etc. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
