About the Role:

As Dexterity's Senior Engineer (Production Engineering), you will be provide end-to-end manufacturing and process solutions for key design features. This includes manufacturing/assembly process development using PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis) and capability incorporating all aspects of equipment,
consumables, key parameters, process setup and optimization, qualification, and documentation. Act as the in-house expert to evaluate mechanical designs for manufacturability and assembly; use the appropriate tools (e.g., CAD, simulations, FEA tools, etc.) to support design decisions; design and develop, from concept to implementation, equipment, tooling and fixtures (through AutoCAD layouts and technical specifications) for manufacturing and installation performed in-
house and at supplier end; drive the release of design documents, manufacturing drawings and assembly SOPs, test/inspection manuals, installation guides for the parts designed by yourself or by other Mechanical Engineers; and support/resolve issues on the floor, support the in-house production, and lead Failure Analysis /Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Actions on field failures. 15% travel required in the following geographic locations: US (domestic), Taiwan, Mexico, and India.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or foreign degree equivalent, plus
5 years of post-baccalaureate progressively responsible experience as a Production Engineer and/or Assistant Manager, and/or Production Engineering Manager, and/or Manager, Production Engineering in hardware manufacturing industry. Experience must include ensuring product readiness for functionality, ease of mass manufacturing and installation; applying PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis) to identify issues, optimize manufacturing processes and ensure readiness to support production ramp; machine/equipment design conceptualization, AutoCAD layout preparation, engaging with suppliers for machine/equipment design approval, pre-delivery testing, inspection and installation & commissioning; working with CMs (Contract Manufacturers) to ensure manufacturing readiness plan by ensuring preparation and release of
manufacturing documents; and using fishbone technique and assembly process knowledge to identify and resolve production failures/Root Cause Analysis (RCA).



$155,750 - $175,000 a year
Base pay is one element of our Total Rewards package which may also include comprehensive benefits and equity etc., depending on eligibility. The annual base salary range for this position is from $155,750 to $175,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as years of relevant experience, skills, education etc. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
