About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented candidate to fill the role of Manufacturing Engineer. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in connecting design and manufacturing processes, ensuring a seamless transition for our products to production. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with Contract Manufacturers and design engineers on successful pilot manufacturing and leading the transition to volume production. This position requires strong technical expertise, effective project management skills, and the ability to collaborate across functions to successfully bring products to volume manufacturing and meet market demands.

Responsibilities
Engage with the Design Engineers and Product Management early in the development of a new product to continuous improvements to prepare for manufacturing.
Evaluate new designs to infuse DfX opportunities and find potential fit/alignment or other issues.
Ensure the mechanical and electrical designs are complete and meet standards.
Transform new designs (EBOM) into an MBOM (kits/assemblies) for volume manufacturing that supports how it will be marketed, manufactured, and shipped.
Coordinate and lead Pilot Manufacturing (1st build) with Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
Orchestrate Managed Build capturing misses and oversights from virtual manufacturing of the product.
Collect and manage issues and opportunities to improve the design during and after Pilot Manufacturing.
Collaborate with Contract manufacturers on the transition from Pilot to Volume manufacturing, including test fixture validation and training.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of hands-on experience as a Manufacturing/NPI Engineer leading complex products from engineering design to volume production while closely collaborating with CMs.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for design analysis and modification.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, casting, and assembly methods.
Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, including design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Experience with PDM & PLM software platforms (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Autodesk Vault, Oracle Agile, Arena) and familiarity with CAD software.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and drive initiatives to completion.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
Strong ability to multi-task and switch contexts while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, data integrity, and continuous improvement.


Base pay is one element of our Total Rewards package which may also include comprehensive benefits and equity etc., depending on eligibility. The annual base salary range for this position is from $130,000 to $175,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as years of relevant experience, skills, education etc. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis
