Job Description - Sr. Facilities Manager

The Senior Facilities Manager has the overall responsibility for overseeing the implementation of policies, procedures and programs that will assure well-managed, well-maintained buildings and facilities, placing maximum emphasis on leading staff in the positive response to the concerns and needs of the local site employees.
 
Education & Experience:
·       Bachelor’s degree in relevant field to demonstrate facilities management, building maintenance, construction management competency
·       Minimum 10 years of experience in facilities management
 
Day-to-Day Activities:
·       Conducting research to identify new technologies that could improve efficiency or reduce costs in facilities management
·       Developing, implementing, and overseeing policies and procedures for effective facility management
·       Developing a strategic plan to address current issues in facilities management, including capital projects and maintenance needs
·       Coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other consultants to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
·       Overseeing the day-to-day operations of facilities including maintenance, repair, security, and cleaning services
·       Establishing and enforcing safety protocols in all facilities to ensure employee health and well-being
·       Ensuring that all facilities are properly maintained by hiring and supervising contractors, architects, engineers, and other staff members as needed
·       Planning, developing, and implementing policies and procedures to ensure efficient use of facilities resources
·       Monitoring compliance with local codes and regulations regarding building safety and fire prevention
·       Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
·       Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
·       Ability to support client high profile events Quarterly Board and Annual Stock Holders Meetings
·       Makes periodic tours of the interior/exterior of the site to document findings on a building inspection form, to improve site appearance
·       Manages, coordinates and exercises functional responsibility for ensuring purchases of supplies, equipment, and spare parts needed at a site level
·       Willingness to be flexible to take on tasks outside of responsibilities to ensure project & team success
 
Desired Skills:
·       Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and other building systems
·       Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors and team members
·       Great time management, organization and prioritization abilities
·       Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills
·       Team player and a “can-do” attitude
·       Problem solver and initiator
·       Willingness to take on projects and tasks outside daily responsibilities
·       Ability to work and adapt in a rapidly changing environment that requires you to take on more responsibilities
·       Auto-Cad or equivalent Facilities layout and space planning software
·       Ability to read drawings, review bids and interview service providers
·       Experience managing multi trade projects
·       Industrial Engineering Report generation for facility planning & expansions.
 
Work Requirements & Physical Requirements:
·       Ability to lift up to 40 pounds is a plus as the team is occasionally required to do so.
·       Operating Machinery: ability to operate, Forklift, dollies, pallet jacks, and rolling carts,
·       Ability to sit for extended periods of time, including sitting in front of a computer workstation
·       Ability to work in noisy environment with temperature changes due to seasons

Team: Operations / Program Management

Base pay is one element of our Total Rewards package which may also include comprehensive benefits and equity etc., depending on eligibility. The annual base salary range for this position is from $120,000 to $180,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as years of relevant experience, skills, education etc. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
