About the Role
The Field Operations Technician will assist the installation and deployment of various robotic systems around the United States. This position supports the Project Manager and Hardware Engineer at customer sites during these installations and removes barriers that appear during these installations, as well as support contracting technicians when needed. This role will also mentor and train other Dexterity Field Operation Technicians and Customer Operators/Technicians. This position will also help drive continuous improvement in deployment processes.
When not installing robotic systems, other duties may include servicing Dexterity’s robotic systems in the field, and review, update and write Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that relate to the deployment process and/or the operation of the system in general. 

Day to Day Activities
Promote safe and efficient work environment

Installing various Dexterity systems across the United States
Mechanical installation
Field wiring installation
Reading both mechanical and electrical drawings to assist in installation
Troubleshoot and remove any blockers in order to meet customer timelines
Basic Multimeter skills to troubleshoot electrical control system issues
Mentor other Dexterity Field Operations Technicians
Train Customer operators and technicians
Track and record issues that appear on installations or field service using ticketing software such as Jira or CMMS
Identify improvements to the deployment process.
Reviewing, updating and writing Standard Operating Procedures that pertain to the deployment and operation of robot systems

Desired Skills
3+ years of technical experience in industrial or warehousing environments or vocational school or college, including troubleshooting basic electrical and mechanical issues using tools such as a multimeter.
1+ year of Microsoft Office or equivalent software
High school diploma or equivalent diploma
Work flexible schedule / shift / work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
2+ year associate degree or equivalent vocational school with a focus in Systems, Mechanical or Electrical field.
3+ years experience installing and troubleshooting automation or material handling equipment.
3+ years of experience with electrical principles, National Electrical Code (NEC), and Industrial electronics

Physical Requirements
Loud work environment with temperature change due to seasons at office, warehouses and clients’/customers’ locations
Walking/standing long hours and exposed to loud environment/machine and during travel
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Ability to move up to 49 lbs

Additional Information
Travel 50% or more to customer locations as projects demand
Must be able to work overtime on a rotating on-call schedule to support plant operations as needed including nights, weekends, and holidays.
May be required to work extensive overtime hours during planned and unplanned maintenance.

Base pay is one element of our Total Rewards package which may also include comprehensive benefits and equity etc., depending on eligibility. The annual base salary range for this position is from $51,000 to $75,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as years of relevant experience, skills, education etc. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
