Accounting Manager

Day to Day Activities
Manage and execute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables in NetSuite, Tipalti, Expensify, TravelPerk and RAMP including journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics and reporting, while ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting
Analyze and reconcile complex Balance Sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies
Perform monthly flux analysis of Income Statement accounts to ensure proper accrual and expense coding
Partner with cross-functional business partners and third parties to foster working relationships, implement best practices, support digital transformation initiatives, and drive continuous process improvements
Document all processes and procedures, create necessary accounting memos and standard operating procedures (SOP) in line with control activities
Support external audit and tax requirements. provides audit schedules, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation
Maintain month-end close and compliance calendar
Participate in ad hoc projects as needed

Desired Skills
CPA with Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting
Mix of public accounting, startup and established public company
Attention to detail and accuracy is a must
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
Experience working with a fast-paced, high-tech start-up or complex company
Experience with researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
Demonstrated history of solving multiple complex operational and accounting challenges
Whimsical appreciation for robots strongly preferred

Base pay is one element of our Total Rewards package which may also include comprehensive benefits and equity etc., depending on eligibility. The annual base salary range for this position is from $122,000 to $155,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as years of relevant experience, skills, education etc. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis
