Are you ready to be a part of a close-knit and high performing team, shaping a sustainable future for public infrastructure in an integrated engineering and architectural design practice? Do you thrive in the details, using Revit and other tools to put your passion on the page with exceptional drawings? We’re looking for a talented and experienced Intermediate or Senior Structural Technologist to join our Edmonton team!
Our structural engineering team is behind the expansive open spaces and gravity-defying structures we create. We have a seat at the design table, working alongside our other disciplines to solve some of the hardest and most technical challenges in the industry. Our multi-disciplinary team is proud of our award-winning projects like the Bow Valley Gap Wildlife Overpass, Walterdale Bridge, and Royal Alberta Museum. Great design can change the world.
How you'll make a difference:
- Prepare high quality Revit models and engineering drawings for timber, steel, masonry and concrete buildings
- Prepare high quality Revit models and engineering drawings for steel and concrete bridges
- Work with architects, interior designers, mechanical and electrical engineers to create truly integrated and sustainable design solutions
- Opportunity to grow your knowledge by attending site reviews and inspections, as well as review the contractor’s work to ensure compliance with the project drawings and specifications
- Prepare documents required for approvals, and construction cost estimates, tenders, and contracts
- Provide design support to engineers, architects, and other technologists
- Work with other team members to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved and maintained
Who you are:
- A Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Architectural Technology
- A minimum of 4 years of structural modelling experience working on bridges, commercial, post-secondary, healthcare, or institutional buildings
- Designation with The Association of Science & Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET) is preferred
- Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative, team oriented, with the ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
