ABOUT THE ROLE…
We are seeking a detail oriented, results-driven Sr. SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager that will report directly to our Corporate Controller with a proven track record of success in U.S. GAAP analysis, SEC filings, and financial reporting as well as a forward-looking mindset towards leveraging emerging technologies-including artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and insight. 
This role will reporting to the Corporate Controller, and interacts regularly with external auditors, general counsel, our Chief Legal Officer, and our Chief Financial Officer. This role does not currently have any direct reports.
As the Sr. SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager you will be the driving force behind the integrity and accuracy of our quarterly and annual SEC filings. Additionally, you will also be responsible for providing technical accounting analysis of significant or unusual transactions, or recently issued accounting updates.
This role requires no travel. 
 
WHAT YOU WILL DO…
 
·       Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy, etc.) and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
·       Plan the quarterly drafting and review cycle for SEC filings; maintain quarterly reporting time table and monitor progress against reporting cycle milestones.
·       Prepare quarterly consolidated cash flow statement and other financial data necessary for SEC filings.
·       Maintain an awareness of Company products, services and the related regulatory environment to effectively manage and comply with all regulatory reporting requirements and disclosures.
·       Work with advisors to prepare and submit annual statutory filings for subsidiaries.
·       Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
·       Explore and evaluate opportunities to integrate AI tools and automation into reporting workflows, technical accounting research, and data validation processes.
·       Partner with internal stakeholders to pilot and implement AI-driven solutions that improve reporting quality, reduce manual effort, and enhance decision making.
·       Prepare technical accounting research for significant or unusual transactions and document appropriate treatment in a memorandum. Focused especially on appropriate revenue recognition treatment.
·       Oversee appropriate revenue recognition for the organization including review of sales orders for appropriate revenue treatment.
·       Contribute to broader finance initiatives by supporting the Corporate Controller on ad hoc projects and tasks, including system enhancements, policy development and special projects.
 
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR…
·       Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience (including SEC reporting experience with a publicly traded company)
·       CPA and Big 4 public accounting experience preferred 
·       Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC accounting and reporting requirements
·       Experience with or interest in emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, or automation tools in a finance or accounting context.
·       Strong written and oral communication skills
·       Professional and personable, collaborates well with others
·       Must have a meticulous attention to detail
·       Extremely organized and self-motivated; must have high proficiency to both learn quickly and follow instructions
·       Strong skills in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

$110,000 - $140,000 a year
PAY RANGE
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $110,000-$140,000
 
This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, licensure, certifications, geography and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
