Position Overview:

We are looking for an accomplished Senior Credit and Collections Analyst who will play a pivotal role in managing our global collections efforts. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in credit analysis, collections strategy, and risk management across diverse international markets. This role is instrumental in ensuring the timely collection of outstanding receivables, reducing bad debt, and contributing to the financial stability of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Global Collections Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive global collections strategy, taking into account regional differences, regulations, and customer behaviors.

Credit Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough credit risk assessments of new and existing clients, making informed decisions regarding credit limits and payment terms.

Billing and Invoicing Coordination: Collaborate closely with billing teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, resolving billing discrepancies promptly.

Client Engagement: Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, addressing inquiries, disputes, and payment delays professionally and effectively.

Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential credit and collection risks, implementing strategies to mitigate these risks and minimize bad debt exposure.

Performance Reporting: Generate regular reports on collections performance, including metrics such as DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), aging reports, and collections trends, presenting insights to management.

Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance credit and collections processes, implementing best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international collection regulations, coordinating legal action as necessary for escalated cases.

Documentation and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, payment plans, and collection activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
A minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible credit and collections experience, with a focus on global collections.
Strong knowledge of international credit and collections regulations, practices, and cultural nuances.
Proficiency in credit risk assessment and analysis.
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Familiarity with financial software and tools.
