Senior Database Administrator/DBA
As a Senior Database Administrator/DBA at Digital Turbine, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising our database infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our database systems, with a primary focus on Postgres and MySQL databases hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work closely with our data engineering and DevOps teams to design, implement, and maintain database solutions that meet our business needs. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing tech hub in Warsaw Poland, and contribute to our continuous growth plans.
Key Deliverables (What you'll do)
- You will be monitoring database performance and optimising queries for efficiency, in addition to ensuring data security and compliance in line with industry standards
- You will be troubleshooting database issues, performing root cause analysis where required and maintaining database integrity at all times
- You will be working closely with our Engineering and DevOps teams, building and scaling our database strategies.
- You will develop and maintain database backup and recovery plans.
- You will proactively review database performance, recommending and executing improvements wherever possible.
- You will optimise our databases to prevent incidents and escalations.
- You will have occasional on-call hours, where you will contribute to 24/7 availability of our systems
Key Experience (What you'll have):
- A track record working in Database Administration/DBA and supporting CI/CD frameworks within a similar tech-oriented business
- Strong experience working in cloud-driven environments, with knowledge of AWS and GCP
- Strong industry foundation in infrastructure/networking protocols
- Excellent knowledge Google Cloud services, particularly Google Cloud SQL or AWS RDS services.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
- Ability to work autonomously, maintain motivation and productivity, and personal drive to succeed
- Ability to balance hybrid working at our tech hub in Warsaw, Poland
