We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Security Services Lead (Applications) to join our Managed Services Team. This role will be pivotal in establishing and driving our security applications practice, overseeing the delivery of best-practice solutions, and ensuring our customers receive robust, proactive, and innovative security services. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, leading incident responses, collaborating with vendors and internal teams, and helping shape the future of our security offerings within the managed services environment.
Requirements :
- Establish and manage the Managed Services Practice within the security application space whereby managed services teams are managing and supporting services aligned to best practices.
- Provide oversight and recommendations for the Security Applications operations and technologies used by all Managed Services Customers.
- Ensure best practice design, implementation, and management of security application are met by teams delivering solutions.
- Be a key Security application resource during major security related incidents and drive the incident to resolution while providing clear communication to our customers.
- Be accountable for end-to-end delivery of Security Services, from creation to ensuring alignment with service commitments.
- Serve as the key liaison between vendors, customers, and internal delivery teams—driving collaboration.
- Ensure identification of service delivery gaps against expectations, while proactively uncovering opportunities to align and attach relevant service catalogue offerings based on customers' licensing requirements.
- Work with the Cloud & Security Practice Led to productise security application offerings and determine how these are delivered within our operational departments
- Support sales with RFP responses and enhance managed services teams by embedding a security-first approach into all deliverables—driving improvements.
- Generate new opportunities and billable work within the security application space by focusing on proactive activities, developing new services, and extending existing services.
- Create and maintain guidelines and structure for technical documentation and knowledgebase (KB) articles while owning and contributing to knowledge.
- Work closely with Professional Services on defining and delivering on guidelines, processes and documentation for the successful handover and on-boarding of security application solutions to Managed Services.
- Document and keep up to date guides and processes in Confluence on security application vendor details and escalation procedures.
Background:
- Previous role with an IT&T System Integrator or Managed Services Provider (MSP).
- 5+ years in a security application role or at least 10+ years in an infrastructure or security role specialising in Cyber Security
- Current Azure Security Engineer or M365 Security Administrator certification
- Rapid7, CrowdStrike certifications and/or at least 2 other security application vendor related industry certs
- Industry experiences working within the ITIL framework (ITIL certifications highly regarded)
