Maintenance Technician – Wilmington, North Carolina
DISHER is currently partnering with one of the largest functional beverage manufacturers in America, offering a diverse portfolio of organic, private label, functional beverages for top global retailers. They are currently searching for a second shift Maintenance Technician to add to their team in Wilmington, North Carolina. The hours will be Monday-Friday from 3pm-11:30pm.

What you'll get to do:
- Ensure workplace safety, compliance with health, safety, and emergency protocols, and address unsafe conditions with management.
- Maintain and optimize production equipment and facility systems for peak efficiency.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic system issues in real-time.
- Support production by resolving daily issues, recommending process improvements, and assisting with preventative maintenance.
- Lead and train team members on basic maintenance, efficiency adjustments, and best practices.
- Assist with equipment modifications, minor construction projects, and facility maintenance.
- Document work, coordinate with vendors, and communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth operations.
What will make you successful:
- Ability to quickly learn new equipment and troubleshoot mechanical systems under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, systems technology, and food manufacturing processes.
- Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, refrigeration, and PLC systems; fabrication and plumbing skills are a plus.
- Understanding of food safety, workplace safety, and quality standards.
- Flexibility to work extended shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3 years previous maintenance technician or maintenance mechanic experience, preferably in a food or beverage manufacturing facility or similar manufacturing environment. Technical degree in the Industrial field is a bonus.
- Prior exposure or certifications in GMP and HACCP application. Familiarity with SQF policies a bonus
- Working knowledge in industrial electricity. Single phase (110 - 220v) 3-phase (208-480v)
- Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally 75 pounds
