Process Engineer - Jacksonville, North Carolina
DISHER is currently seeking a Process Engineer for an automotive manufacturer in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Our customer is open to hiring as contract, contract to hire or direct hire. As a part of this team, you will have the opportunity to work with highly automated equipment in a quickly moving and fast paced industry. This person will have a direct impact on the function and success of the manufacturing environment through providing expertise, consultation, and assistance to the process and manufacturing facility as a whole.
What you'll get to do:
- Utilize expertise in process engineering to optimize manufacturing operations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety
- Assist existing automated lines in production pace and efficiency
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of new processes and technologies
- Take part in a highly automated manufacturing process equipped with high level robotics, vision systems, fixturing, laser welders, and clean rooms
- Consult, assist, and advice the existing manufacturing and leadership team
What will make you successful
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering within an automotive manufacturing environment
- Experience with cell assembly, particularly in the production of fuel pumps
- Strong knowledge of automated manufacturing processes with minimal reliance on manpower
- Proficiency with mechanical systems and clean room operations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
