DISHER is partnering with an innovative, employee-owned manufacturer and distributor to find a Senior Product Engineer to join their team. As a senior engineer, you will apply deep expertise in product development, design for manufacturing, and quality assurance while driving advanced innovation initiatives. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are market-ready and aligned with customer expectations. In addition, you’ll play a key role in mentoring a small team of engineers, guiding them in the development of high-quality, industry-compliant products that enhance brand reputation and deliver meaningful value.

What you'll get to do:
- Lead the design, development, and launch of new fastening tools and products for decking, roofing, and structural applications.
- Collaborate across engineering, operations, and product teams to bring forward-thinking ideas to life.
- Apply your knowledge of metallurgy, coatings, and material science to improve product performance and durability.
- Support the full product lifecycle—prototyping, testing, analysis, and refinement.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, contributing to a strong technical team culture.
- Engage with overseas manufacturing partners to support quality, sourcing, and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay current on industry trends and new technologies to continuously improve product design.
- Help strengthen and grow a portfolio of premium, highly recognized fastening brands.
What will make you successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical/product design, ideally with fasteners, construction products, or tools.
- Advanced proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Catia.
- Strong background in materials, coatings, and mechanical systems.
- Experience working with global supply chains and vendors.
- Creative thinker with a track record of bringing ideas to market.
- Excellent communicator and team collaborator.
- Eager to mentor others and contribute to a high-impact team.
