Administrative Assistant - Holland, Michigan
DISHER is currently partnering with 14th St. Christian Reformed Church to find a dedicated and organized Church Administrative Assistant to support their mission and daily operations. If you are a detail-oriented, personable, and passionate about serving a faith-based community, join their team and play a vital role in ensuring smooth church functions, communications, and administrative processes. This position involves providing secretarial and administrative support to the Council, Pastor, staff, and committees, while maintaining organization and efficiency in church activities.

What you will get to do:
- Perform secretarial services such as typing, filing, mailing, and collating of minutes, correspondence, and various church lists.
- Prepare and publish the weekly worship bulletin.
- Prepare Council packets in advance of monthly meetings.
- Maintain church membership records.
- Perform data entry of church giving and print statements quarterly.
- Maintain a master church schedule of events and activities.
- Distribute incoming mail into appropriate mailboxes.
- Perform receptionist tasks of answering phones and greeting guests while working in church office.
- Make contact with guest pastors and provide worship service information, and coordinate worship bulletin arrangements.
- Maintain office equipment and order supplies.
- Keep bulletin board by office window organized.
- Maintain church answering machine, take messages.
- Make monthly schedules for organists and sound/video people.
What will make you successful:
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within a church or nonprofit setting.
- Proficiency in MS Word, email, and church management software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with church staff, members, and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Uphold strict confidentiality with church records and sensitive information.
- Willingness to collaborate and contribute to a positive church environment.
