Quality Manager (Contract) - Grand Rapids, MI
DISHER is partnering with a customer seeking a high level Engineer with experience having led audits for IATF 16946 and ISO 9001. This is a six to nine month long contract position.

What you will get to do:
- Lead, develop, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Plan, organize, and execute internal audits, and prepare the company for successful external or certification audits.
- Serve as the point of contact for auditors and facilitate all aspects of the audit process—document review, evidence collection, closing out findings.
- Train, coach, and guide employees at every level on compliance processes, audit readiness, document control, and roles in the QMS.
- Oversee corrective and preventive action programs to address nonconformances and promote continuous improvement.
What will make you successful:
- Demonstrated experience leading IATF 16949 or ISO 9001 certification or re-certification audits as the quality manager, or having substantial involvement in those processes.
- In-depth knowledge of QMS principles, audit methodologies, and core tools (such as APQP, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, and SPC) specific to tool and die and manufacturing environments.
- Strong project management, organizational, and change management skills to drive cross-departmental alignment and accountability throughout the audit lifecycle.
- Ability to analyze complex information, interpret standards, identify gaps, and recommend clear, actionable improvements.
- Excellent communication abilities—verbal and written—with proven skill in reporting findings and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Attention to detail with a systemic approach: consistently ensures all audit evidence is properly documented, traceable, and available.
