Hardware Engineer – Zeeland, Michigan
DISHER is currently seeking a Hardware Engineer to join our Electronics team in Zeeland, Michigan. As a part of the Electronics team, you will see a wide variety of projects including developing new and exciting products in multiple industries, technologies and customers. You will get to work on projects from start to finish, being involved in prototyping/development phase and seeing it through to production. Here you will be able to do it all, hardware, software, firmware, early and late-stage development

What you'll get to do:
- Be a part of a team with a vast array of technical engineers in the electronics arena
- Mentor newer engineers within DISHER
- You’ll contribute to the cross-functional team as one of the hardware-focused engineers
- Experience our culture of innovation and use/implement new technologies
- Hardware Development: Circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and components selection
- Derive worst case circuit analyses, mathematical modeling, thermal management, and EMC performance studies
- Various hardware designs including analog, digital, RF, Zigbee, IoT, cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc
- Embedded firmware development knowledge desired
- Work with your coach to customize your growth and development path

What will make you successful:
- Bachelor of Science in Electronics / Electrical, Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years of electronics engineering experience including 8+ years of experience in hardware development
- Must have experience in schematic capture, PCB layout, digital circuit design, EMC testing & mitigation, CAD (Altium Designer or ORCAD), analog circuit design (power supply design, power electronics and isolation, wireless communication design)
- Ability to consult with customers on their worksite and have excellent communication skills
- Be a self-starter, who can pursue and fulfill responsibilities independently
- Innovative and adaptable work style to work in the abstract
- Must have current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Regulatory experience (UL, FCC)
- High-speed design, may include SoC circuit, DDR3+ memory, or gigabit+ communication interface design, experience in high-voltage BMS (battery management system) design
- Wide range of industry experience
