Responsibilities:
•Oversee research and development efforts to drive innovation in manufacturing processes and technologies.
•Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) strategies that enhance additive product performance and manufacturability.
•Design and optimize manufacturing processes for next-generation products, emphasizing efficiency, scalability, and sustainability. Create resource layouts, work instructions, control plans, and other production documentation.
•Develop novel fixtures and tooling solutions to support R&D initiatives and enable rapid prototyping and testing. 
•Oversee programs through first article build and into production. Conduct experimental manufacturing runs, analyzing results and iterating on processes to achieve desired outcomes. 
•Contribute to the development MES, ERP, and PLM systems.
•Drive automation initiatives to streamline production workflows, enhance data collection, and improve experimental repeatability.

Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
•3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering role, preferably within the additive, automotive, aerospace, or advanced materials industries.
•Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, AutoCAD) for process design, fixture design, and factory layout.
•Extensive experience with additive manufacturing or casting and its applications. 
•Excellent drawing reading skills, including strong understanding of GD&T per ASME Y14.5M
•Proficiency in architecture of MES, PLM, ERP, and other production systems.
•Proven track record of successfully leading projects from concept through production. 
•Familiarity with automotive/aerospace design and tooling design concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:
•In-depth knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies such as 3D printing, robotics, and advanced materials science.
•Familiarity of automation principles and experience implementing automation solutions in a production environment.
•Performance of capacity analysis, line balancing, sequencing, process simulation, time studies, factory sim, and similar activities for the support of high-rate products.
•Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
