EGA’s Climate Policy team specializes in delivering tailored advisory services on policy and regulatory developments across the climate sector. We help businesses navigate the complex and evolving landscape of climate, biodiversity, sustainability, clean energy policies and regulations at the local, regional, national, and international levels. As an intern you will have the opportunity to track, monitor, and analyze developments across the climate policy sector, while contributing to new business and existing client relations.
Outside of Climate Policy work, EGA Interns will be given the opportunity to conduct general research and support for business development or EGA client work. Interns will conduct research on specific economic/trade and regulatory issues across our six regions and various business sectors. Interns will search sites for related news articles daily and monitor EGA clients and priority sectors and regions.
Responsibilities:
- Our internships run 10-20 hours/week (with a minimum of 10 consecutive weeks).
- Conduct research on specific climate-related developments across our six regions and various business sectors
- Search sites for related news articles daily and monitor EGA clients and priority sectors and regions
- Contribute to a weekly climate policy tracker designed to inform and update senior leadership on key climate issues
- Write policy memos and research briefs on relevant issues as assigned
- Search and attend related DC events and submit write-ups
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled undergraduate student, recent graduate, or graduate school student with a focus in International Relations, Political Science, Communications, or a related program.
- Preference towards pursuing a degree in International Economics, International Government Relations, Environmental Studies, Communications, or related fields.
- Interns should have policy experience in one or more of our priority sectors: tech agriculture, financial services and sustainability
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work within a team.
Interns will be paid an hourly rate of $18.00
