We recently won the opportunity as agency of record for one of the largest and fastest-growing businesses we represent at Edelman Health. The account – which is comprised of two broad components: corporate communications and digital – spans multiple areas of focus including executive visibility, internal communications, policy, digital content strategy & creation, and more, meaning you’ll have an opportunity to partner with experts from across the Edelman network as you work with one of the world’s leading-edge pharmaceutical companies.  

We are looking for a seasoned account lead to join our integrated team comprising engaged, eager team members and specialists. The ideal candidate will have a passion for detail, clarity, and accuracy, a level of understanding of Digital, and thrive on keeping big teams and budgets to task and on timeline. 

Responsibilities:

    • Manage overall day-to-day account management, including all project timelines and budget working toward agreed strategic goals
    • Support financial and operational performance of multiple workstreams simultaneously, ensuring quality work, deadline, and budget adherence, and that plan creation and execution map to goals 
    • Support day-to-day client relations, including the ability to help troubleshoot client and internal issues 
    • Demonstrate writing excellence when crafting internal and client materials and correspondence, with the ability to support content development for digital/social, employee and executive, media, and crisis
    • Help oversee smooth functioning of “always on” social media content production process, including coordinating between different teams (e.g., strategy, creative, production)
    • Help ensure social content remains on strategy throughout the content development process
    • Participate in review and QC of social content in multiple formats (e.g., video, static, social copy) for multiple channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube)
    • Supervise staff by mentoring, motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, holding them accountable and conducting their reviews 
    • Display strong presentation skills
    • Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals 
    • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Edelman’s values and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct. 

Basic Qualifications:

    • At least 5 years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media, and publishing. 
    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience effectively managing multiple sizable accounts (including financials) and serving as the daily client contact simultaneously.
    • Should have experience working in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotech communications. 
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills along with the proven ability to consistently make sound judgments and effectively motivate and manage teams. 
$79,000 - $115,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
