As an Account Executive (AE), you’ll work with high-profile clients to create innovative, newsworthy campaigns for top brands and will play a key role in supporting communications plan development, research, client tracking and reporting, and media outreach to consumer, trade, and other types of media. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, a problem solver at heart, and has strong media relations and storytelling skills. They will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong foundation in media relations and a pulse on consumer and industry trends, especially in the retail, financial services, lifestyle, entertainment and/or fashion spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding of your client’s business including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers, and competitors in the marketplace
- Play a meaningful role in client service, spanning account management, media and influencer relations, research and more
- Help plan and develop comprehensive communications plans and implement public relations tactics to meet client objectives
- Support reactive and proactive media relations projects
- Create media materials to support client campaigns
- Provide cross-team support including preparing client status and activity reports, attending meetings and conference calls, compiling media and competitor coverage, coordinating press tour pitching, scheduling and logistics
- Manage multiple projects from conception to completion working closely with team members
- Demonstrate sound judgment, initiative and an interest in creative problem-solving

- Demonstrate an understanding of research techniques, including analysis of media coverage and online conversation (volume and tone), and identification and categorization of various stakeholders, including organizations and individuals to be engaged by clients
- Participate in new business processes, including research, audits, idea contribution and proposal preparation
- Commit to continuous learning and improvement of your technical and leadership skills
- Set and pursue challenging stretch goals for yourself
Basic Qualifications:
- At least one year of relevant experience in Communications and/or related fields, including public relations, journalism, research, media or publishing
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong research, writing and editing skills and the ability to develop meaningful media contacts/relationships
- Fundamental understanding of media outreach assignments and the ability to develop traditional and digital media strategies
- Previous agency or retail brand experience
- Proactive self-starter with excellent organizational and project management skills, along with the ability to adapt to change and meet deadlines
- Eagerness to apply cultural happenings and trends to the thinking they are doing on behalf of client
- Thrive in a fast-paced, flexible, ever-changing environment
- Are detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, capable of driving results, and working with a sense of urgency, and the ability to adapt to change and meet deadlines
- Can work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Want to learn from some of the best and brightest in the industry
$55,000 - $65,000 a year

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
